Those Who Have Inspired Me

Witold Twardowski
Calgarian Restauranteur and Designer

One of the people who most inspired me to "take massive action" and to participate fully in my own artistic career was a Calgarian designer by the name of Witold Twardowski. He was a very talented designer, restauranteur and "creative" whose locations were "otherworldly." The food, the decor and the feeling of his locations always provided a place of peace. Although of course, public, there was an intimacy that was created whether the rooms were filled with people or whether one was dining alone. The staff were most kind, and extremely committed to making one's visit to "Mescalero's" a memorable experience.

I was always inspired in this location and held many of my business meetings there while dining, sipping and dipping into some of the most innovative decor and food offerings I've known.

Always reverent of the fact that this man, inspired me then and continues to do so today.
